In the presence of political, sporting, cultural and business elite of the nation, Kubrat and Tervel Pulev and head coach of their boxing academy Borislav Boyadzhiev, unveiled the smithy of champions – Sports center PULEV.
The event was attended by Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, Minister of Sport Krassen Kralev, Greco-roman wrestling legends – two-time Olympic champions Boyan Radev and Armen Nazaryan and two coaching icons – Todor Andreev and Todor Zandanov. Also the longtime coach of Bulgarian National team Mikhail Takov, triple world and three times European champion Serafim Todorov, the first Bulgarian who set a world record in athletics – Yordanka Blagoeva, the best Bulgarian volleybal female player for the past 15 years Antonina Zetova, Lubo Ganev Iliana Raeva, Valentin Mihov, Titi Papazov and many other sports figures in the country.
Among the VIP guests were the chairman of Bulgarian Union of Actors and our prominent actor Hristo Mutafchiev and brothers Jordan and Dinko Dinevi. Mutafchiev was among the most emotional guests in the gym. The greatest moment of the ceremony was the performance of the legendary folk singer Valya Balkanska, who sang “Izlel is Delyu, the rebel”. The song brought into tears Mutafchiev and he set the tone for applause among the hundreds of attendees.
Sports Center PULEV was blssed by father Andon Shavulev of Blagoevgrad which also serves faithfully the church. “Guys, you are an example to the young generation and may God be with you and protect you,” said Father Andon.
“We are here not only to honor you, but above all to thank you for what you do for Bulgaria. People who practice martial arts are the most peaceful, the noble gentlemen. Please, continue to glorify our country to the world, ” said Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov
