Pulev: “I’m gonna give to all Bulgarians a great victory”
The countdown has already begun! 5 days before the big bout against Samuel Peter for the Intercontinental title of World Boxing Association, Kubrat Pulev set foot on home soil. He was greeted by fans and dozens of journalists. Lovely, white surprise for Kubrat and his coach Uli Wegner was the first snow in Sofia!
“This is the most beautiful time in Bulgaria! Constantly I repeat to my coach that Bulgaria is such a beautiful place, because we still have four seasons and each of them is nice. What can be better than such a white welcome at home with this snowy Fairy tale”, said Kubrat with a happy face at the airport today.
On Saturday night at the ring of “Arena Armeec” the European heavyweight champion will fight for the first time in his homeland since his debut as a professional on September 19, 2009.
“I’m gonna give to all Bulgarians a great victory”, said Pulev, who regained the European belt after spectacular duel against Derek Chisora earlier in May this year in Hamburg.
“I hope on Saturday people to come and support me. I hope they can feel my ambition and my enthusiasm. I want to make all Bulgarians happy and proud with one great victory and unforgettable moments”, added Kubrat.
His younger brother Tervel will make his professional debut on Saturday:
“I believe in Tervel. I know he worked hard. He has the skills and the experience to win and make the joy of all of us on a Saturday double”, said Kubrat.
